Cobra Immobiliser
Cobra is well-known as one of the best manufacturers of immobilisers and vehicle security products in the industry. At MotorGuard we stock, and are able to fit, Cobra immobilisers to your vehicle to keep it and your possessions safe and secure. Security should always be a big concern when you buy a new vehicle, and it’s always important to invest in quality products to ensure safety.
The Thatcham-approved Cobra immobilisers that we offer are specifically designed to offer the maximum security available for your vehicle. The purpose of an immobiliser is to prevent a thief from being able to operate your vehicle without the correct car keys. A Cobra immobiliser specifically disables two of your vehicle’s essential functions unless the correct key fob is inserted.
All Cobra products are approved by all major insurance providers. In fact, nearly all insurance providers require an immobiliser to be installed in a vehicle before offering the owner a policy. In this day and age, there really is no reason why a vehicle owner should hesitate to secure their vehicle with an immobiliser.
Our expert mechanical team will be able to install a Cobra immobiliser for you at our Birmingham premises. The team has years of experience in the car security field and can always be relied on to provide an excellent service, regardless of the vehicle they are working with.
If you need a high-quality immobiliser fitted to your vehicle, then a Cobra product could be exactly what you’re looking for.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Cobra alarms Thatcham approved?
Cobra immobilisers and vehicle alarms are certified by Thatcham and are accepted by all major insurance companies in the United Kingdom.
How do I use the Cobra touch key?
Firstly, use a functional touch key to deactivate the immobiliser. Then, set the immobiliser switch ‘1’ to ON. The LED will light up as a result of this. Following that, the LED will glow for around 1 second after you insert a fresh key into the mini-socket.
How do I reprogram my Cobra alarm remote?
Cobra alarm systems come with a deactivation card as well as a four-digit programming code that can only be used to programme and reconfigure the device. The process for reprogramming is simple and takes only a few minutes. Firstly, enter your vehicle and get all of your alarm key fobs ready for reprogramming. For around 10 seconds, hold down both buttons on each remote until the LEDs stop flashing. Within five seconds, switch the ignition three times between the “On” and “Off” settings. The Cobra alarm system’s security LED will flash once to signify that programming mode has been activated. Count the number of flashes on the LED after turning the ignition key to the “On” position. When the number of flashes matches the first digit of your four-digit programming code, turn the ignition key to the “Off” position. Repeat this step for the remaining three digits. If the code was input correctly, the alarm LED will then illuminate upon ignition.
